Envy is kinda strange. So even as you speed on your motorbike and green-eye those sitting cozy inside a car, the latter envy your road-blazing capability. Hawk is the conception of a vehicle that would merge the performance of a road bike with the safety of a car. Hawk designed by AlezH on Ideawicket, is a futuristic vehicle that visualizes a bike with a carbon fiber outer shell.
Essentially the 3-d rendering shows a vehicle that provides the acceleration, the power, and the thrill of a 400cc engine bike along with the safety of a car. The engine is placed on the rear – behind the driver – and the power is transferred, “to a gearbox at the base of the rear swing-arm and then transferred through belt to the rear wheel.” The exterior shell made of carbon doesn’t increase the weight too much and yet provides the desired level of safety. Among some of the other visionary factors is the presence of a storage trunk behind driver’s seat, a controllable environ within the shell, and an illuminated customizable LCD that displays the vital stats. And taking the whole customizable bit to the next-gen, the dashboard allows riders to go in for different layouts, colors, fonts and imagery. Hawk as a concept looks quite radical and yet as a marriage between a car and a bike, it looks just, um, fair enough!
